Sure is fun and a challange! Here's my first attempts.
Chasing Butterflys
Nice Tigers, Vi! I see you are realizing that one has to photograph butterflies in the summer. It is fun, I'm always trying to get the perfect pix. I still didn't get that annoying Pipevine Swallowtail.
Beautiful! Perserverance pays off! LOL
You did well! I find myself chasing after them in the garden. I see them perfectly posed and by the time I have snuck up to where they are, they flutter away. I had either an Eastern Giant Swallowtail or a Tiger Swallowtail perched beautifully with the wings flat open on one of my new ginger plants. When I went out to try to get a picture, it flew away. I was very disappointed. You get used to it after a while. Keep at it and you will get some better shots. This is the best shot I have of a black swallowtail. Incidently, this is the naughty one that crawled out of my b'fly hatchery and went into chrysalis on my cactus!
