Need help with bird of paradise

Memphis, TN

It is about 2 yrs. old and I need to repot it in a bigger pot. Would love some advise, so that I do not kill it. Thanks in advance.

San Diego, CA(Zone 10b)

Leave the roots as undisturbed as is possible. The fleshy roots do break easily. Now is the time as it should be dormant. Remember, they like their roots crowded when they are blooming age and they do recover quickly from transplant shock-just don't be surprised if it takes a few weeks now with the plant being dormant and all. Don't fertilize when you tranplant it. Vitamins are ok though.
