Good morning farmers and visitors, I just posted a picture of my vegie garden irrigation system in the Vegetable Gardening forum, might get some of them posted here later when I have more time. This morning I'm going to town, then have to get organized for my endurance ride trip this weekend, do a lot of watering today and tomorrow and hope we don't have 90's with wind while I am gone. That really stresses the plants. Just when I was smelling the roses and enjoying a slower pace my riding pal called and we are going to a ride west of Yakima, Wa. this weekend. I'm going to ride Bullwinkle with a borrowed saddle that is similiar to my saddle that has been sent away for repairs. The owies I got a few weeks ago have pretty much healed up and so I'm going to give it a try and see. Yep, I know I'm crazy.
The country all around me is sprouting haystacks! Big ones! Some of them have 300+ tons in one stack. The field next to us was mowed yesterday, that one is grass hay. There is mostly alfalfa around here, but an alfalfa field gradually goes back to grass every few years so it is easy enough to get hay that is a mixture. I like mostly grass, about 25% alfalfa is hot enough for horses. Too much alfalfa isn't good for them.
Have a great day everyone, count your blessings.
