I think maybe I've finally gotten Lionel to understand that if he steps outside the house without his safari jacket on he goes back in and the door gets closed. Today was a test. We were partying on the deck and he wanted to come out, so I opened the door and let him sit on the threshold. He was soooo good. Here's a shot of his little nostrils just flaring from the chicken being barbecued in the park. But he didn't even try to join us. He sat there and enjoyed the party from his perch. Persistent training does work on cats.
