Yours has yellow on the inside of the trumpet, how pretty. Mine is red throughout. Is there a special name to your variety?

Lenjo: It was about one foot tall and planted March of 2001-so it's actually two years old now and probably 20 feet cascading over the top of our fence. It's a Bignonia Cap "Tangerine Beauty" (that's all the information I can find on the tag) Red sound pretty also.

So maybe then are you sure it would be campsis radicans?
Bignonias are very similar but I wonder if they are actually the same. This is another trumpet vine I saw while visiting Berkeley ,California that looks similar to yours but wouldn't be hardy for me.It is in the PDB under distictis bucc...... I can't remember exactly the last part.

Bignonia cap makes me lean toward Bignonia capreolata, aka Cross Vine. Sure enough, 'Tangerine Beauty' is a variety of this species. I'll take care of moving it around, Lengthy notes are really better suited to a comment box than a caption - it would be great if you would move the info in this caption to a note on the new entry :o)

Hey memigas, what is your hardiness zone? I think this is a beauty and if I could find one I would love it. Joann aka Lenjo

JoAnn! 6B is the hardiness zone for East Tennessee-i stumbled on this $6.95 foot high plant at K-Mart. What a fast grower-perfect to give us privacy on our board-on-board fence. Margaret Migas

Wow, lucky you, just shows you gotta keep your eyes peeled for great bargains and fun plants. I don't have a K-Mart close even though but do have a Wally world.

I'm just wondering how to propogate something like this. I've been playing around with cuttings this year and have had surprising results.
