Here is the plant right now. Ten big stems and 9 smaller plus the extra small sprouts.
Ida of Sorø resumen
Tonny, Ida seems to be doing great. Is this the one that you almost lost? Interesting about the leaves.
Yes, Frannie. She got frosted and I have to remove the entire stem and several large roots and the big roots I kept was half rotted away too, but I managed to remove the sick parts. I think it was bringing it inside to the wood stove that saved it. The heat stopped the fungus attacks. I could not find the post I made about it, but here is a picture :)
Thanks for all the pictures and information Tonny. I really like Ida and I am so glad that you saved her. What is the fragrance like?
Oh Tonny, you make me homesick for my arborea. I love it so. Though your leaves are so huge and furry looking. Your flower in picture 11 looks alot like mine but in picture 6 the flower looks bigger and hangs down not out like mine do.
Tonight I am so homesick. I suddenly miss my husband, miss my bird and miss my best cat Gabby. It has been 2 weeks and for someone who never leaves home it is going to be a long 2 more weeks. But then I think how homesick my Mom must feel for her husband and I stop my inner whining!
Tonny the pictures are great! Kell I think you need a hug. (((Kell)))
A big hug from me too, Kell.
Kell, I am very proud of you for what you are doing and for putting your Mother before yourself. This says alot about the kind of person you are and I am proud to know you. Hugs and you can call anytime or I will call you.
Oh you guys, you made me cry! It is so emotional around here. So very sad. I needed those hugs, I really did!
Kell some seeds you plant take years to grow---some seeds you plant take weeks. You are planting seeds you will never regret,---and Im sure that the fruit will come back and bless you too someday. cheryl
