Tonny,
Not just different colors during different seasons/climates, but I've talked to one hybridizer who suspects that climate/geographical area during the time the seedling is growing may affect its bloom in a much more permanent way. Kind of how temperature affects whether you get males or females with some animals during the course of maturation.

L'Amour is definitely my favorite brug, and my favorite pink brug while Jesse Noel is my favorite yellow brug. I have not seen my favorite white yet though I should pick Kell's Girley Girl. LOL!!! But I have not seen it bloom myself yet.

Yes, it was so beautyful, Shirley :) I can`t wait for all the buds here now to burst open. There are buds on everything now and I sense that its going to be a beautiful summer :)

No, it was not that big, Michele *lol* but crutches allright :) It was one of those cuttings where the flowers was as big as the plant :) It was fun to watch it grow. The plant was a rooted flower branch that have had a horisontal position on the mother Brug and it kept growing along the ground, until I straighned it up with a couple of branches and some wires. Best as the stem was straightned out the top that was unbound, began to grow horisontal again *lol* I had my troubles with it ...

Tonny this is how L'Amour bloomed for me as well, the first ones were so light, I was almost upset, thinking that it was not going to be as pretty for me as it was for some of you, but the second round of blooms was "knock you out awesome"

Thank you Tonny for showing all the different colors that L'Amour bloomed for you. It is hard to believe that the first flower is a L'Amour. I can see why some of us may feel confused when we first see a bloom that is not at all like the color we expect it to be.

Eric, I would like to hear more about climate and geological location of seedlings having a possible permanent effect on them and their blooming.

When I get home I will post my first winter bloom which was very pale and then the summer deep color. I loved both. lol. the shape is my fav. brug shape.

Yes, Frannie. I had my doubts if this was L`Amour when I saw the first two flushes. Ask Monika. She was helpful and posted several pictures to compare to *lol* Also the first flowers was very small, but in the last fall flush the flower tube was longer and the color almost red.

Eric, when temperature and other factors influence the look of flowers in seedlings if opens wide perspectives. That is exciting knowledge *lol* Could be fun to take small cuttings of a few seedlings to put into the GH and watch, if there are any differences between the mother and the cuttings in respect of color and shape. I do not have the space to do the experiment though. I want a Brug farm with 27 acres for Christmas *lol*
