Yesterday I got mauled by a hen. A baby was going though my fence & I picked it up to move it & BOY mama didn't like that. She flew up in my face attacking me.. did that 3 or 4 times. She actually broke the skin on my forhead in a tiny spot. These are chickens bred for fighting (NOT OURS) & they sure know how to attack. I learned real fast to leave the babies alone.
*disclaimer.. Up until 3 years ago I was a city girl..I'm learning fast :D
