1966!! You've been at this for a long...long time! Love to see your pictures :)
Quite a while! I think this may have been the first flower photograph I ever took. I now have pictures of over 4000 different plants.
Geez... I don't want to make you feel old... but this picture is older than I am, LOl! 4000 plants is a lot of pictures. Did you take them just for yourself as a hobby? Or do you use them for other reasons, besides the PDB?
Mainly just as a hobby. I have published a small book of the "Flowers and Ferns of Morwell National Park", which shows 384 species, almost all the plants that grow in the Park. I have also jointly published a little book on the plants used by the local indigenous people, "Plants of Significance to the Ganai Community", which is mainly based on my photographs.
By the way it is not just plants, I have photographs of nearly 1500 animal species and 300 fungi.
That's wonderful kennedyh. I went searching for your book. I didn't find it but I did find this article http://203.44.52.25/upload/Linkmar03-18.pdf It sounds fascinating. I have always had a an interest with herbal medicine plants. A lot of your Austrailian plants aren't familiar to me so your pictures are a real treat.
The book on the Ganai use of plants has a very limited distribution, and is only available locally. It sells for Aus $10, and I can supply copies by mail for that price, plus postage and packing, say $15.
You would? I'd love to get a copy. I'll e-mail you.
