#19 .. Colour of Butter

Coal Center, PA(Zone 6a)

This has just been #19 until it bloomed today and sure which it is .
Another belonging to my daughter I thought lost 1999 when all that survived was the stub of a stem when the greenhouse heat went on a frigid February. It has been a long time on the mend. Now back to doing good (o:
Suaveolins and Charles Grimaldi were two of just the few brugs she had to work with in those days.
You can see the influence of both parents.
Simple, but pretty (o:

Alice, its wonderful to see what you daughter obtained *lol* Its not always a question of having a large gene pole to work with, but what you do with those you have. I find it amazing what she has done with her hybrids *lol* The color is very pretty and I note that loveable long, narrow tube that also made Phantasms tears so famous in my eyes :)

Oh Alice, that one is pretty! Nice clear color. Will you be naming it?

Coal Center, PA(Zone 6a)

Tonny .. you have a good eye ;-)
This one was a seedling from the same pod as Phantasm's Tears.
I note that long tube, also.

It does not have a name. Wasn't sure to grow it to offer or not.
Though I like its colour and simplicity.

Brug flowers don't always have to be fancy/complex/etc. for me.
The 'simplistic' blooms have a beauty all their own in my eyes

city?? lol sticks, AR(Zone 7a)

well said ----there is a purity in a simple bloom, and too much "fru-fru" would detract from the long tube as well. nice flower----deserves a name IMHO cheryl

I totaly agree with you Cheryl!

It's great to see the variety you can obtain from just one cross! I really like it Alice! How about the name 'Purity'...I got the name from Cheryls post LOL

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

I like it also Alice. I think it is so neat to have your own special brugs made by your daughter!

On another note, how do you put your own trademark on your pictures? I could only figure out how to add text to mine but it is too long a process to do to all my pictures. Is there an easier way to add one? Thanks.

Abutilon, its very pretty. I like the yellow or golden flowers in B. suaveolens type. The color is not often seen here, whites and pinks are more common.
