love that one.....

Susie,
Is this one of Eric's?

Susie, does it start off peachy colour? Mine never got pink.

Newberry, FL(Zone 8B)

oh my, mine always go pink, just a matter of how dark.

FSH, TX

Brugcrazy, mine are always pink as well. If it is peach in colder climates I would still think it would be pink on occassion as well.

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Mine is always pink, starts out palest pink and in a matter of hours is dark pink. In the fall it gets a touch of peach in the pink.
Glory, yes, it's Eric's. Did I get the name right?

Wow! Its pure and simple and beautiful. Eric and Calla, is it fragrant?

Newberry, FL(Zone 8B)

Tonny, no fragrance at all. Jeanne, i wonder if you ended up with spring peach or amber rose instead of kyle's pink? otoh, brugs can be quite different colors in just different soil i think.

*lol* Arlene, I found out that this goes for several flowers. In the spring I went to a meadow and creek area and dug up a symposidium (spelling?). It had colorchange from pale purple to white. In my garden it surprised by colors in deep pink to dark lilac. That was the soil PH making that difference as the plants on the meadow still has the dull colors *lol*

Arlene, I too noticed that Kyles Pink has no fragrance. I thought it was just my sniffer messed up from smelling all the others.

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

Durn! How could something so beautiful, NOT smell good????

I think I have one...I'll check out the smell when it opens.

No, it came from Eric as Kyle's pink so I'm sure it is. It's only bloomed once, pale peach. It bloomed in May so maybe it's not warm enough for it yet. I'll wait until it blooms again. I also have Amber Rose and it was pale peach too.

Here was mine last fall.

You always get vibrant colors Gloria.

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

It's either the "good" well water, or weather in Ohio! 'Course I hardly ever get blooms, so color goes sharp into one, only bloom.

Wow! Gloria. There are possibillities in Kyles Pink. Do you see the same as I (think that I) see? Pink with almost hidden hues of yellow, peach and orange?

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

It only bloomed once and I thought it was a beauty! Color goes up into center, not just on the edge. It sure has great possibilities with Rothk., Bttrfly, etc. Let the blooming begin!!

FSH, TX

Many hybrids will change color depending on climate as well. Dr.Sues will go from yellow to orange in my yard depending on the time of year/weather. Amber Rose in particular will change very much like her father Dr.Sues. I think this happens particularly in hybrids with parents of different colors.

Here is the the one I have and it is marked as Candida Pink Hybrid....it does have a nice smell. I know this came from Eric by way of Arlene but I don't know it's name.

It's lovely Glory!

Glory, can you get Gwist to contact me? I've got a prezzie for her! Thanks!

Burno, Sorry I don't have her email address. What's a prezzie?

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

A present?

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

A pretzel? ha

Just call me chemo brain. LOL It seems I don't even think right anymore.LOL Thanks Cala!!!

Co.Wicklow, Ireland(Zone 8b)

L@Glory! It's ok...I found an old e-mail to her in my sent items box! I'm going to send her a Hedychium coranarium (Butterfly Ginger). I remember her saying she'd like one before and I can't get mine to flower for me here. Our growing season is too short for it :o(

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

I kind of like the pretzel idea. Anyone got some covered in chocolate?? White, even if not real chocolate, is my favorite! LOL
If not, I'll just go drool on my brugs. Wonder if it would help them bloom? The Ohio water and weather are not impressing me at the moment. ha ha ha
It is really neat to see all these pretty pinks!
