Finally some lilies are blooming.

Westbrook, ME(Zone 5a)

There were 7 open blooms when I came home. Don't think I've ever had that many open before :o) The red is James Brydon and I'm not sure what the yellow is. Anyone else know? I thought it might be Texas Dawn.

Wow!! Those colors are so pretty!! I have no clue what kind but they sure are bright!!!

Texas Dawn and Joey Tomocik are both yellow and they will stand above the water like a tropical waterlily does. Does your stand above the water a few inches?

Popysue those are beautiful!

Yes - the yellow does stand above the water a bit. It's a large bloom compared the the JB. I only had a white lily before so these colorful hybrids are a real treat.

Sue, those are gorgeous!! I only have one blooming-a white from Waterpondgardens. It was blooming in the bag when she sent it! LOL I have different ones from different people and I can only hope they are half as lovely as yours!

My white one came as an un-named from lilypons. I was too cheap to pay for a named one. I tell ya though... these ones blow that one outta the water!! I'm glad I tossed it now. I only have room for a couple of lilies in my pond. It's nice to have ones that will bloom. I have two generous traders from here to thank for them.

I splurged and bought my first tropical lily this year. It's still pretty small but I can't wait to see that one bloom. It's supposed to be blue.

Sounds like it may be a Texas Dawn. Joey tends to be smaller plant and blooms but brighter yellow. At least that's the way it is in our neck of the woods.

Hobart, IN(Zone 5a)

They are beautiful poppysue! I've had about the same amount of blooms this season, but not at once. I love your James Brydon, it looks like it's going to be a good bloomer.

I don't think that's Texas Dawn. Here's a TD, the pads are speckled and the flower is different.

hello everyone...
Here in SC Joey Tomocik has hugh blooms...often about 8 inches wide. The colors are bright yellow. Our mom plant came from Hawaii last year.

Anyone wanting tropicals, please email me at scgram@waterpondfarm.com and we can work something out.

My entire back yard is full of canna's, daylilies, hostas, lotus and more from Dave's Co-ops...I just want to share my access to wholesale prices for everyone.
