Or shall I say "rediscovered" him; apparently I already owned several of his essasys in an anthology that I own. Anyhow, I happened across a book of his called "The Contrary Farmer" at a used book store a few weeks ago. His observations on man, beast and nature had me both laughing and crying. Anyone have some favorite authors that write about rural living or farming?
