prickly poppy

Jackson, SC(Zone 8a)

i have some seeds left over from yesterdays collecting. 5 trades at 20 seeds per pack.

i will have more soon so if you dont get in this round post and let me know you want some. i have several green pods left.

P1150 Argemone pleiacantha
White Prickly Poppy
Every part of this plant is prickly except the extraordinary giant 4" white crinkled blooms. Perennial 2-3 ft. Flowers all summer, more if old blooms are removed. Sow seeds spring or summer; dislikes transplanting. Soak seed in water 8 hours or cold stratify 30 days

i dont soak them or stratify whatever that means them. they hit the ground and i let mother nature do the rest. the plants i took them off of when i first got them were in an old abandoned shed. no one to do anything to them and they multiply just fine. all i try to do it keep them staked up when its too wet like this year other then that they are on thier own Imzadi
