The Origins of 'Maya' ...

Coal Center, PA(Zone 6a)

Does anyone this forum know the history of this brugmansia?

Herbstein, Germany(Zone 5a)

Maya was discoverd by Mme Blin in a french nursery. The man did name it after his wife Maja, which is the correct spelling. Somebody made Maya out of it. Its probably a sport of Kurpark Bad Salzschlirf (former Grazie).

Thanks, Monika.
Are Ocre and/or Charles Grimaldi related anywhere in here?
I am trying to get to the bottom of something.
Thanks, again.

To my knowledge, no. The original Ocre is a wild form from Ecuador. The others by the same name are cultivars.
Kyle knows the history of Charles Grimaldi. I remember being Dr. Suess x Frosty Pink.
