where is everybody

Seems like we're all suffering from the long days of Canadian summer - planting, weeding, watering, trimming from dawn (very early) to dusk (very late) and no time for posting. My first lupine has bloomed this week and has converted me from a so so feeling to absolute affection for this plant. It's a beautiful coral rose color full and shapely - I just have to get a digital camera so I can share.

Hi jagonjune. How are things with you?
I seem to spend my days watering, repotting and generally moving plants from place to place. We have some garden and deck construction starting this week so have to move things out of harms way. I swear these guys live to throw lumber on my plants.

Yes, it seems if I'm not working, I'm watering; if not watering weeding or mowing or edging or thinking about new projects. I used to envy you Vancouverites without our long winter but I think by October I need a break. Still waiting for part of my shipment of large pots at which time I will be looking for my first brugs. I printed off the order form from your site and will have a hard time deciding which to start with.

Sshh ~ can't say that here.
You're ordering pots? From where? I'm now embarassed about my black grower pots. But I get them for free. Free is good.
About our winters? The plants love it, but the gardener gets grumpy, really grumpy.
My latest thing~ because I live in a cliff, and water runs downhill, my bit of lawn is mostly moss. I'm having a checkerboard garden put in where the lawn is. Hopefully it will work.

I'm addicted to attending the summer and spring gift shows here and often cannot resist placing an order for a pallet load of goodies. You know the attraction of buying wholesale. It just means you buy way more than you need. hmm?? Living on a cliff must pose interesting challenges in areas other than gardening. Too many margaritas and its all over.
