I've really started to enjoy lilies more this year. I've planted several different colors too. The bright red lilies are beautiful. The yellow Tigrinum lily is SO bright. My orange lilies haven't bloomed yet but I'm in zone 6. I don't keep up to names either, just enjoy their tropical feel.

Hi s-mon, I posted some pictures of my lilies in photos. It has been a bit warm here, they are coming on pretty fast, I hope they last a little while longer. I have a white one that is so fragrant. I have a yellow one that I have quite a few of, maybe we can work a trade.

Hi debi, I kind of feel like lilies and roses are the queens in the garden. After watching lily production the last couple of years, I can see the Asiatics are much more prolific than the Orientals. I would like to try some others like trumpets. What kinds do you have?

well i ran a co-op this year and i have just about everything now. :-) since i planted them all this spring, in may, they are coming at the same time and what would not be there normal times. next year that will happen. yesterday a gorgeous pale orange tiger lily blossomed, those you need to keep off to themselves because they can carry diseases that could effect your other lilies. aurelian trumpet lilies are starting to blossom too. a beautiful white and the "trumpet lily regale" that has a white inside and a deep rose outside have started to blossom too. Also, much to my surprise an L.A. Hybrid pink, is just glowing in my shade garden. the wonderful thing about lilies too, is that you can plant most of them in part sun, and they can really brighten up those shady gardens with gorgeous blooms.
i also had 1 tenuifolium or turk's cap lily blossom. they are small and dainty but are in a bright orange/red color. i'm surprised i got even one blossom, because i removed about half of the lilies bulb because of rotting, but i planted them knowing they will grow and become beautiful in future years.
i also have many new dwarf and oriental mixed lilies and a few named hybrids, such as "lovely girl", "muscadet", acapulco, starfighter, casa blanca, strawberry shortcake, siberian, and little rascal. some from bleeks co-op last year, mine and some from wayside's 75% off sale. i have had stargazer for a few years now in my shadier garden and they come back beautifully each year.
i also have 1 speciosum rubrum, 3 martagon, which haven't even broken the earth yet, have to do some studying on them.
how are everyone elses doing.???????
