Troy, VA(Zone 7a)

Imzadi welcome and nice to meet you - from another wet and cloudy state - Virginia. It really has been going on for weeks now and no end in sight. But hope your garden is thriving with all this wet stuff since I'm pretty happy with mine!! Better than the drought we had last year!!

Franklin, LA(Zone 9a)

I feel your pain imzadi, first we had six weeks with no rain at all, now it's rain every day.
Mother Nature saw fit to dump 10 inches of the stuff on us in 6 hours the other morning. The ground is never going to dry up. I put my tiller back in the shed. You can't fight Mother Nature.

At least the plants that are in the ground are loving it.

Anyway, welcome to the total DG experience!

Lindale, TX(Zone 8a)

Hello and welcome, imzadi, It's raining here too after a long dry spell. Bill

Welcome to DG, imzadi. This is the best place I know of for meeting nice people and finding helpful information.

Newark, OH(Zone 5b)

Oh, another Star Trek fan! :) Welcome to DG, Imzadi!

Laurel, DE(Zone 7a)

Hi there and glad you joined us. Can sympathize with you in the rain department, that is all we are getting here in west MD and I am starting to suffer from light depravation.

Jackson, SC(Zone 8a)

yes definatly star trek house hold. its thundering agian. light depravation i like that. me too. i am sick of rain. 7 inches in two days. my question is where is it all coming from? the oceans drying up? my plants loved it at firat but now losing some to root rot due to no sun and soggy ground. i never thought i would want heat so bad. hehe any one know a sun dance? or a dance to make the rain go away? hehe

thanks for the welcome. Imzadi

Lincoln City, OR(Zone 9a)

imazadi, Welcome to DG. I am glad to meet you and would love to hear about your neck of the woods and your interests beyond gardening and Star Trek.

Ohhh How I wish it would rain here. Our grass here is already brown and dead from lack of rain. The weeds are huge because we did have some rain this spring and now the almost record heat has exploded their growth. I am so far behind on weeding that I will still be removing 2003's weeds in 2006. I guess that goes with having a garden though that some years you keep up with it and some years it is impossible.

Jackson, SC(Zone 8a)

Thank you all for the warm welcome. its sunny here today. YEAAAAAA sorry for yelling. just so tired of rain. i will try to send it to any one who wants it. we are so water logged here.

i hope everyone has a great day. i am off to work while it is syunny out in my garden. Imzadi

imzadi.. Hi, and Welcome! I have seen your name already in some posts (and I don't usually read the Welcome Mat so it's not too timely a Welcome). Glad to have aboard another neighbor to the south...

Newark, OH(Zone 5b)

Our weather's been so nice, in the 70's...But this week they forecast it to be more like summer, up in the 90's. Ugh - we've been spoiled!

Baker City, OR(Zone 5b)

Welcome from the dry side of Oregon. The west in general isn't getting much moisture, so I guess that answers part of the question. It did rain on the cut hay tho, and that wasn't good. Timing is important!

Lincoln City, OR(Zone 9a)

MaryE is just up the road a piece from us and she has some of the same weather patterns that we get too. It also rained on our hay and then last week it poured and poured for several hours which was really good but it caused some flash flooding here. The temps have been above normal about 15 degrees the past 6 weeks but the last few days it has been about 15 degrees below normal. I guess the weather creator can't decide what to do with it right now.

The seed onions are being harvested right now. Acres and acres of onions are planted in the fall for spring seed harvest.
