Hello from a new subscriber...

western Piedmont, NC(Zone 7a)

Hi All,

I've been a regular to gardenweb, and oft-times visited DG to see "what's up".

Both sites contain a wealth of information, but I was frustrated not seeing all the info here, without paying a sub-fee.

So, paid my $15, and am already happy with the increased utility of this site.

Anyway, DW and I live in western-Piedmont North Carolina, on some acreage, and after years of risk-sports, a back injury has "grounded" me to earthly pursuits. I'm somewhat retired, spending most of my spare time puttering around, veggie gardening, landscaping, etc.

Within the past year, we've planted a goodly number of hostas, daylilys, cannas, groundcovers, trees, shrubs, and other perennials. I enjoy the summer, love the heat, and spend many hours collecting rocks, and dry-stacking rock walls.

I've had some success with propagating various items, and look forward to taking what I've bought commercially, and expanding my collection.

I look forward to be a contributing member, check my profile to see my geocities site.

Welcome to DG!

There are a few of us here in the WNC mountains/down to the Piedmont area: myself, Vic, VickyP, Woodspirit1 and maybe more I don't know. We occasionally get together, and trade plants regularly. Hope you will join us! (I'm in Asheville.)
