Which Brug varieties do you think have the best and/or most fragrance ?

Heaven ; ), Denmark(Zone 7b)

Charles Grimaldi *lol* I haven`t had Dr. Suess to bloom for me yet :)

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Dr. Suess and Versicolor Orange are both really good. I get to smell CG this year if it will bloom. Thanks Kell.

Suaveleons white!!! No one ever posts photos of SW. I love it--dependable, beautiful, and great fragrance.

Woodburn, OR(Zone 8a)

Do they all have completely different scents, like roses do? I am going bonkers, I'm so excited, waiting to get my nose into one!! I hope my little guys bloom this summer.

Tonasket, WA(Zone 5a)

CG is the first brug that i bought, maybe that spoiled me as I sort of thought all brugs would smell great. The CG that is presently blooming is in the passage way between my house and the garage, the door that i go out most often, get to smell it all day!!! Donna

Creamsickle smells like hyacinths, Chlorantha is extremely fragrant(would give CG a run for it's money any evening, lol), Golden Lady has a unique spicy scent, Arborea has a spicy scent too but you have to get close to smell it. Gypsy Queen rivals CG for fragrance. I've got about 25 different ones blooming right now, it's almost overwhelming in the evenings especially when you toss in a bit of night blooming jasmine, brunfelsia and a half dozen citrus trees and a couple of gardenias.

I think my nose was trying to get a contact buzz from Cala lily's post? lololololol Do you have a bedroom window located near those plants Cala? would seem wonderful to fall asleep with those smells and dream of make believe garden that you seem to have made real.

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

There are brugs planted near every window. I've heard it's not good to sleep under the brug trees though!

Susie pleeeeeeeese bring all your beauties to TX when you move. I bet I'll smell you/your brugs before you even reach the state line.

I have had brugs for two years now and still haven't had a scented one bloom for me :( I am hoping to have a few nice scented ones this year from what I have left and from the ones I get this year. I can hardly wait to smell one or fifteen of these.

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Ponditis, they usually don't smell during the daytime, you will notice it starting around 5pm and then all night till morning when the scent fades. Even in the gh, I wouldn't notice them all day and then all of a sudden in the evenings the fragrance would be so strong.

Woodburn, OR(Zone 8a)

How nice, they save up all the sweet scent all day so we can enjoy it all evening! My first brugs and my new night blooming Jasmine... I'm going to be coming home from work to some very pleasant evenings!

Tulsa, OK(Zone 6b)

Creamsickle smells like hyacinths!?! I can't BELIEVE that you just made me want it even more, it was already at the top of my wish list.

Lincoln City, OR(Zone 9a)

LOL I went outside every hour for days and nights on end trying to smell these flowers that I had heard so much about and there was never any scent at all. :( I just figured it was my luck to get two plants that had no scent.

Barnesville, GA(Zone 8a)

Last time I asked this question, someone said they had a yellow one that smelled just like lemons, maybe GRC? Anyone know which one he was speaking of?

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

Citronella

Barnesville, GA(Zone 8a)

Um, does it smell like Citronella ): or lemons (:?

Angleton, TX(Zone 9a)

Susie, it sounds wonderful to have all those fragrances in the evening in your garden. I can never get too much of things that smell so good. Just when I thought I had plenty of brugs, I find myself printing out your post about fragrances of different brugs. I can see my list of want-to-haves increasing . . . LOL
