'Blue and Gold"
Good shot, Zany! I just got this plant started in my garden; hoping it'll form a good size clump in another year or two.
You will love it! Mine is 2 years old and has doubled in size even though it has been confined in a pot. I plan to divide it in the fall and put half in the ground.
Great picture, Zanymuse!
I have one of these I took from my garden in Virginia, cause it had sentimental value to me as my niece gave it to me, and it is blooming beautifully here in Florida!
I would attempt to take a picture of it, but my camera skills need to be much improved before I make a total idiot of myself....LOL Ah, so what, later today, after I come back from my Florida Gardening class, I may just try my luck....have to make mistakes to learn, right?! :)
Grakay, you go for it. The best time is early morning or an overcast day so the colors don't fade out or glare and no flash if possible.
Zany, that is just gorgeous. I love the contrast in colour. Much nicer than the dark green leafed one. I have been debating on whether to buy it or not. Guess you just made up my mind for me.
Broots, I found mine at the drugstore of all places. It was simply marked as a perrenial with no name or identification. But the color of the leaves and flowers was more than I could resist and the longer I have it the happier I am that I grabbed it! It was in a 6 inch pot when I bought it and is in a 12 inch pot now (2 years) I figure I will divide it into two plants at the end of the season So I can put some into another spot that needs something bright.
