What kind of soil would you recommend growing this plant in? Poor with well drainage? Maybe a cactus soil? I have a few seedlings that I germinated.

My soil is fairly heavy clay and I have two that have thrived for several years (both 15 to 20ft tall). I think good drainage is important, but one of mine is in an area where the drainage is not brilliant and it does not seem bothered.

Good luck with growing them on. They will grow quite rapily but you may have to wait a few years before the first flowers appear,
