Loaded and aromatic

Huntington Beach, CA(Zone 10a)

I know you all don't think much of Frosty Pink, but I happen to love mine. As I was finishing up working in the garden early this evening, I could start to smell the aroma in the air. When I looked over at the tree, the twilight was such a beautiful setting, so ran for the camera. There are over 100 blooms on it, I tried to count them, but kept messing up. lol

Donna

BTW, the backside of the tree is as full as the front.

Thank you all for your kind words. I have had this plant for 5 yrs. and had it planted in a shady location for 1 yr., didn't do very well. Then we relandscaped and the neighbors cut down all the Ficus trees, that were giving me shade, and it got moved to this corner. It has been here for almost 3 yrs. and loves it here. I just make sure it has lots of water and feed it every once in a while. I still want to get a Double white one, just not sure where to put it as my garden is so small.

Monica wants to know what the tall little purple flowers to the right are,she loves your picture also. Thanks

Waaahhh! Did they cut down the figus trees???? Lene has promised me a figus tree and a vine plant when the floor in the wintergarden is finished *lol* Just kidding *lol* Yes they love the sun and reward us plenty in return.

Huntington Beach, CA(Zone 10a)

Root, tell Monica those are Delpheniums.

Tonny, the neighbors had 16 very tall Ficus growing along the back wall. The roots of these trees will grow everywhere and can do a lot of destruction. They have a pool and were worried it would damage it. I have battled the roots for a very long time, they get tangled in all of my plants. If you grow one, make sure you keep it in a pot or have nothing around it to get damaged.

SoCal, what a beautiful photo of a lovely brug. I have to take mine inside for the winter so don't expect I will ever have one as pretty as yours. rutholive (Donna)

Newcastle, ON(Zone 5a)

Lake Toxaway, NC(Zone 7a)

That's part of her butterfly bush, as she mentioned

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Doc, I see what you are talking about. They are individual stems and right behind the delphs. Definitely not the Butterfly Bush. I don't know what those are, but on my screen, they don't look purple, more magenta in color.

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

Beautiful blooms, even if it is "only" Frosty. Thanks so much for sharing with us, who have no blooms!

Bay City, MI(Zone 5a)

Harrisville, MI(Zone 5b)

Root,

Ok, I know which one you mean. It is called a Reedstem Epidendrum, or we call them a poor mans orchid. They grow very easily here in CA as they are Mexican natives. They have small little plantlet/with roots that grow on the long stems and they are called Kiki's. They come in red, orange or yellow.

Doc, I think you are going to need some deep pockets. From what I could find online, they aren't an inexpensive plant/bulb.
