Beautiful,I can't wait till my Isabella grows up and blooms like this. Thanks to TiG, I have 2.

North Vancouver, BC(Zone 8b)

Very pretty, and tiG is right, they all are beautiful.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Isabella was a great bloomer for me last year. You will grow to love her more every time she blooms. I didn't think mine had a lot of fragrance though. What about yours? Great picture. I can't wait for bloom. It is coming soon though. I just took this picture of Pristine tonight. Our wind storms have been hard on the buds.

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

Please....let's see a pic of Pristine when she is open. I'm cryin' here for blooms!

Barnesville, GA(Zone 8a)

Kris, don't ya think she deserves that bench, lol?

Brugie, as she sits on the table beside me, I stick my nose down her throat and keep trying to place thay scent! LOL
kinda minty? Remember I only have this one bloom!
It's still a bit cool, even here on my porch, so maybe it carries best in warmer weather? Hope so! Let's ask tiG!

Never heard of Pristine, white? At least you have alot of buds! Is it a good smeller?

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

I think they do carry better in warm weather, but some are just way way more fragrant than others. I have a seedling here that the flower is nothing special at all, but the fragrance is all over the yard.

Barnesville, GA(Zone 8a)

Better keep me informed of ALL your good smellers!
That goes for everyone!

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Pristine is white and no fragrance. Bloom from last year.

Barnesville, GA(Zone 8a)

Now THAT is BEAUTIFUL!
(I could even forgive it for no scent!)

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

Pink Beauty smells wonderful too.

Lord? Please lead me from temptation.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

or lead you to my house in the fall! LOL!!

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Oh my goodness Brugie, that Pristine is just gorgeous! You know how I like frilly girlie girl blooms. Is that a short corolla tube?

PS Violabird, I can't see your picture. There is just a red X. I do not know if it is my computer or Dave's. I couldn't see Tracey's first picture either...............that is why I did not comment on it.

Ya mean I have an invisible Brug, now? Anyone else see it?

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

I still can't see it Violabird........just the red X.

Knoxville, TN(Zone 7a)

I'm getting a red x on your picture also, and on some of the other recent photo posts. So, I don't think it's something that you've done or not done.

My Isabella has buds for the first time, so I really would love to see you photo. Nat

Barnesville, GA(Zone 8a)

Thanks Nat, and very Belated Happy Birthday to ya!
Hope you had a great day!

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

I see it, vi!!

Knoxville, TN(Zone 7a)

I see it too - - but I rebooted my computer, which is the first response for me whenever I have a computer problem.

Thanks for the B-day wish. Had a great day tromping in the rain in Chattanooga.

Lovely Isabella - - I can't wait for mine. Nat

Ellabell, GA(Zone 8a)

I can still see it both small and large. Then again it is probably in my cache (don't know if I spelled that right) since the first time I clicked on it.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

where is she? I wonder if she's still sleeping with that brug?? LOL!!

Barnesville, GA(Zone 8a)

*Yawwwwwnnnnn*
Ya'll rang?

Well, guess we'll just have to tell Ms. Kell that's it's the Best photo she ever missed, lol!

Nat, you were just a few hours away! Did ya see me wavin to ya? I like Chattanoogie!

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

I sure hope my computer isn't going to screw up my viewing pictures now! My main reason for loving Dave's is all the photos.............besides so many nice folks!

I just got home and turned it on again so it is not that. We are getting a new computer this week, this one is dying! They have really gotten cheap!

Isabella is one of my favorite suaveolens as well. She generally out performed the other suaveolens in my yard for both repeat blooming and number of blooms each time she bloomed. I know a number of people are hybridizing with her with good results as well. I don't know if anyone has crossed Ecuador pink to this beauty or not, but I can imagine only good things from such a cross. Guess I can't really blame you at all for bringing this hybrid in to work, but just you wait till it blooms again. Isabella does have a tendency to attract a lot of moths though in my experience.

Tonasket, WA(Zone 5a)

Violabird, that is a very pretty bloom, even if it isn't very fragrant. but I would expect it to be more fragrant in hot weather in the evening. At least that is the way CG acts for me.

I am waiting, not patiently, for my Pink Beauty to bloom Should see buds soon. Donna

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

Very pretty flower Violabird. Isabella does have a faint scent but not as strong as other types.
Eric, I crossed Isabella to EP. I only kept a few for myself and gave the rest of the seeds away. Hope to see a nice pink out of them.

Knoxville, TN(Zone 7a)

Vi, I was waving back but you couldn't see me for my umbrella. :>}

My frosties are covered in buds and my white whiskers has about 6 or 7 buds. Now, if we don't have any bad storms with wind, I should have some serious flowers soon.

Would you believe I already have sunflowers and crape myrtles blooming? With all this strange weather, most of my flowers are weeks ahead of schedule. No complaints though - - my brugs are loving it. Nat

Barnesville, GA(Zone 8a)

Gee Nat, I take it these were "babied inside, old Brugs", huh?
(I'll have to remember that BIOB!)

White Whiskers???

Just have 1 big old white Brug with buds, but the babies are coming along, didn't expect Isabella tho, just got her in March (shortly after seeing this forum, lol)

Hope to see more of your garden soon in 'photos'!

Knoxville, TN(Zone 7a)

Yep, white whiskers..6 ft trained as a standard...given to me by the most generous Calalily. GrannyLois and I went to visit Calalily's greenhouse about 4 weeks ago and Calalily was trying to find homes for some things to save from having to move so much when she relocates to Texas.

This WW had a gorgeous bloom on it at the time, but I knocked it off getting it in the car. So sad.

All my current brugs except for the original mother plant are cuttings that I took last fall, or new ones recently added. I only acquired the dreaded Brug fever last year. The OMP (original mother plant) aspires to be an Oak tree and is as big as the house, but no blooms so far this year. Apparently, she has not heard of my "kill policy", thrive or die. If she gets any larger, I will have to build a two story garage for next winter.

All my brugs are babied.....aren't yours???????? And I admit that I will be tempted to take MY Isabella to work with me when she blooms. A picture is worth a 1000 words, unless it's brug - - then you gotta see it to believe it.

Ellabell, GA(Zone 8a)

Vi, I discovered earlier this year that if you have your brug inside it won't start to smell until the lights have been turned off for at least an hour.
I thought mine didn't have much fragrance, but that was because I kept the light on until I went to bed. So while I was sleeping my house smelled good.

Barnesville, GA(Zone 8a)

Lucky you! WW sounds wonderful, can't wait to see it!
Did it smell as good as (dad?) Can't/won't think of Whiskers as a "she"!

Ok, which is the OMP? Frosty?

There was a great thread going on about hardier Brugs to leave outside http://davesgarden.com/t/384519/ , all my babies are from March or later, and have been outside (in pots) AND babied, lol.

Isabella didn't like the A/C, bloom already wilting ):

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Well Vi, I finally seen your bloom...........LOL! My computer must have read above where I said I was getting a new computer! Too bad, too late my DH just ordered one. LOL............to our specifications no less! No wires!!! I can't wait. My bird will be so disappointed to have no wires to chew thru!

Yours is beautiful! A great shot and HUGE bloom! No wonder you are so happy. I have never seen Isabella bloom before. And Eric said it would be a great parent brug! Soon you will be pollinating!

Vi, OMP is an unnamed brug - her blooms start out pale yellow and then depending on the temperature, usually turn a deep pumpkin orange. And she has a heavenly smell - - almost too much in the evening when it cools down.

WW did have a fragrance. Will have to wait to see how the new flowers do.
