Looking for Queen Anne's Lace

Grady, AL(Zone 8a)

Does anyone have any of these seeds for sale or trade? I see these growing along the roadway all over the place but can't find any where here that sell the seeds, supposably because its a native wildflower. I was told I can't get them from the roadside or I will be fined.

Villa Rica, GA(Zone 7a)

I usually have tons of them in the edge of the woods here. Would you like for me to try and collect seeds for you later this fall?? I have never tried collecting seeds from them but would be willing to try.
Just let me know.

Newark, OH(Zone 5a)

I'll have to wait until they set seeds but once they do I can get you a bunch, they grow along the weeds here at the edge of the property by the fence.

I would appreciate the seeds!! The butterflies love ém!! I did sneak and dig up two rootballs but they died :( I was gonna plead dumb. DH said to tell them "they're just weeds"
He's not into plants, but he's a great helper and builder:)

Planting late fall or next winter is good. A great excuse to till up a new bed.

Thanks Mollybee and Flowox!!

I'll go out now and round some up and mark them so I can find them later this fall.
:) Glad to help.

Newark, OH(Zone 5a)

remind me later on if I happen to forget :)

Grady, AL(Zone 8a)

Hopefully I'll have seeds that both of you will want. I've been gathering and drying annuals, but the seeds on the perennials seem to take longer to ripen on the plants.

If the Queen Annes Lace needs light to germinate, maybe they will grow in the field with the Bahayia :)

Lots of info on them here:

Thanks for the link :) Lots of useful information!

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

If I remember right, they are a bit hard to transplant, but if you are willing to try it, I can send you a bunch of seedlings.

Grady, AL(Zone 8a)

It's always worth a try right!? Email me and let me know how much to send you for shipping. Wooohoooo can't wait.

Queen Anne's Lace is actually Daucus carota, the common carrot, but the wild form. It is a biennial and will die after blooming. Try this site.

you have mail

Bremerton, WA(Zone 8b)

I have some seeds from the wild ones I collected last fall. Did not plant them because so many came up by themselves near the yard. I'm not sure of their viability, but would be happy to send them to you.

Let me know if you are interested and I'll put them in the mail this weekend. WaWild1

PS: It's fun to put the flowering stems in water with food coloring and watch them absorbs the it. I always make several vases full with Oranges and blues.
