This looks like it could eat a man. Sure would be strange to see a speciman like that growing around here. Nice photo. It shows the size well. I wonder if the doggy knows he's a PDB model now? ;)

Maybe 25 years; soon it might bloom, and then it dies. Meanwhile they make lots of pups on runners.

Spring Valley, CA(Zone 10a)

This Agave picta eventually got about 36-37 feet tall. The base of the spike was at least 18-20 inches diameter. After it started collapsing, I had to remove it. This image was from summer 2003.
