I just found this in the bottom side of a brug leaf as I was transplanting it. I have never seen this before. I am about to flush it! Could it be ladybug larvae? I have tons of lady bugs. I would hate to flush lady bugs.
ps I had spidermites on this last week.............and I hope it is had!

I went out and bought Schultz Garden Safe Fungicide 3. It's 3 Garden Products in one. It's a Fungicide, Insecticide and Miticide. I got the concentrate and it will make about 16 gallons.........wasn't too much. I think 5 or 6 dollars at Wally World
It really worked, it got rid of the aphids on my rose and rid of the spider mites I had on one of my brugs :)
the eggs look sort of like stick bug eggs
These are similar to the butterfly catapillar eggs that I found on my plants last summer. The small group of holes are where the egg hatched, the rest the cats damage. When they finish with the first leaf they will move both up and down the rest of the Brug and make it look like a big green cheese *lol*
anyone have any idea about how the schults stuff works near ponds? Need to spray but Im afraid it will float my fish?
Kell, it is any spray, Hot Shot, Raid, whatever, for flying insects, etc. Yes, it kills spidermites, used all winter for inside, kept them under control from killing my plants. Don't spray right on the plants, mist falls from above, can spray up, not too close under leaves. Please don't kill your plants and say it was my fault. Got to be a little careful with it.
playsndirt: I'd be afraid of any spray with oil, that might coat the water, might kill fishes.
Thanks Gloria, I will try my technique on just a few Frosties first..........
Right, won't miss a few Frosties. It is really not that strong, would probably take a lot to kill plants, unless you sprayed and sprayed right on it, then that might do it.
Ms. Kell, you're supposed to use the flying insect spray early in the morning or right before dark. i believe this is for lower temps plus less effect on beneficial critters. Karma Happy Toes was the brug person i heard this from years ago and it works well.
if i have an infestation of something in the daytime i go ahead and spray and then water mist a few minutes later to protect the leaves.
Kell, you could also try BT (Bacillus thuringiensis,sp)
