Agnes is my little 7 pound Cornish Rex cat. Last fall my daughter found her lying on the floor, ice cold. We rushed her to the vet, they kept her in incubator and IV fluids for 2 days and sent her home. ($849.00) Since then, she tends to be cold, so I purchased a heated pet mat for her and bought a baby bunting that I slipped the pad into. Agnes lives inside it. She pokes her head out just to eat and use the litter box. She drinks an awful lot of water before eating and then throws it back up. Then she eats, the food stays down. She seems to be very thirsty all the time, but can't seem to keep the water down.
I haven't taken her back to the vet because I know he'd say to put her to sleep as she is 18 years old, but the cat purrs constantly and seems happy in her bag. Anyone have a similar problem with an older cat?
