We've been outside getting the gardens done all this week. The weather has finally warmed up enough to plant. DH dug 65 large holes one day and 40 the next and finally got the Brugs out of the GH and planted. Still have a few more small ones but 90% is done. This is the back garden with the seedlings and cuttings.
Finally in the ground!
They look great......and he's so sweet to did all those for you!
I wish I could fit them all in the garden like that.I am putting the seedlings in the veggie garden this year,Chuck kicked me out of his Dahlia garden and didn't have time to make a spot just for brugs....there's always next year......
Snow, they look great! I know you must be happy to have that done. I love your place. think you need more of a growing season, though. there's some land for sale down near me, lol..
WOW Snow---he is a keeper--n so is your brug garden!!!!!!!! I covent your man lololol n your brugs too!!!! *teasing* well about the man thing anyway--but I could put on my ninja suit n run off with your brugs????? I kinna doubt my husband would help me tho:S think you could mail me a cutting of your husband?--Id like to clone him.
Does he have a sister?LOL,don't tell Monica I said that,Outstanding job Snow!I need more land to keep up with Ya'll!
Very nice! Now, sit back and enjoy the blooms. You both deserve it. Your (DH) is certainly a "keeper".
Snow, you sure have a great DH to dig all those holes. Your site looks soooo neat and organized.
I see you planted the pots. Are you going to keep them over again this year or is that so if they have seed pods you can keep them long enough for the pods to mature? I sure hope your winter this year isn't as bad as the last one. Everything looks really nice. Can't wait to see things in bloom.....lots of bloom!!
We should have a contest for best DH of the season! Next time my DH complains I will show him this thread. He has it so easy and does not know it.......LOL
This will be so grand in another month!
Thats going to be a really big show. By the way who is buried there? I see the cross! LOL
Snow, I so gald you finally got to get your Brugs outdoors.
Snow did you plant them directly in the ground or the pots with holes method?
That is a whole lot of Brug! Wooo hooo! I'd say you have worked your tail off and you must have built one heck of a greenhouse as well. I cannot wait to see what you have this year. :)
Well, DH's head is so big tonight from all these compliments that I don't know if he'll be able to get through the bedroom doorway tonight. LOL
TARogers, The cross is for my 16 yr old mini Dachshund. We lost her this winter and DH made this temporary cross for her.I don't know how he got it into the frozen ground.
DR, All my big ones are in pots with the holes. The seedlings I planted in the ground as I'm trying to push them to flower this year.
Well, he better be able to so he can get his reward!
Crestedchik, I had an uncle who raised a lot of dahlias, some were for show and he supplied his church with a lot or arrangements. When he passed away, his son sent me all his slides of the dahlias. Some of them are glass slides; shows how long ago that has been. I don't know whatever happened to all the dahlia bulbs. He was the nicest man I ever knew. I think gardening grows fine people, too.
awwwwwwwwww woodspirit-------well said :)
Snow, I know that you are so glad to have all these in the ground. Wow! what a beautiful garden it will be when it is full of blooms.
Snow, that looks great :)
Sad about your dachshund though :(
