Has anyone got one of these this year? I can't find it anywhere And a have place for it in the "disco" section of my garden. Mine came back early this year--- then died.
Caribbean Copper Plant Euphorbia Colinifolia
Just got a Copper Plant the other day from our local nursery where I'm attending Florida Gardening classes!
Don't know anything about it, other than what I've read on the net, but the good part was, he sold it to me for $2.00.
Here is a picture....and this is my first time w/the picture thingy, so please be kind! LOL :)
Desert Rose, I have a huge plant of Euphorbia cotinifolia, its easy to root and grows quick. Mine is about 5 feet across and about 7 feet tall. Deep red foliage.Greenish in the shade. :-)
Grakay--That's the other copper plant in the picture. I have 8 of those. If you go to San Marcos growers website they have the correct picture of the one I'm looking for. It's like other euphorbias--it bleeds white and has little white flowers. Maybe you would like the other one too..Wink Wink
Eclipse- Can you please root a piece for me. I had one the last few years and it almost made it thru this year--but no luck. I have this scary section of my garden that has lime green, orange and purple in it. Really trashy colors together.
Desert rose..just remind me if I forget to root one..either that or I can send cuttings and you can root them. In cailf we use to just stick cuttings in the ground and they would grow. easy to start.
Hi!
One week ago I purchased a nice Euphorbia cotinifolia (large) from the Indianapolis Museum of Art greenhouse. It appears to not be faring well in my living - lower leaves are shriveling, otherwise it looks healthy. I am a Master Gardener and a successful indoor gardener (30 years worth) ... this plant is new to me and my home - it is so lovely I don't want it to suffer. Any suggestions? Can you tell me about it's typical needs and behaviors. Is it similar to ficus which typically drops leaves when moved but recovers well? It just had a dramatic change in environment which could account for the change. This plant is about 4-ft tall, 2 ft wide at the top. It is near large northwest windows, surrounded by other plants with a humidifier nearby. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated - I love this gorgeous plant!
