Hyacinth Bean Vine has to be the fastest seed going!
I started mine on the 1st of May, and they are beginning to bloom already! I treat it as an annual, but it kept re-seeding itself back in Virginia, so we shall see what it does here in Florida!
Makes a wonderful privacy fence, not to mention its showy flowers and seed pods! One of my many favorites!!

Shore wish mine would germinate that quick! Not in this zone though! I started these the first of last month.

I just read on your site that the seeds are poison. However I have a printout that says the beans are edible and are widely grown for this purpose in India and Africa, hence the aka Indian Bean or Egyptian Bean. How do I find out for sure before I try eating them?

Who's site?

The site is the Dave's Garden site when I pulled up information on cultivation for the hyacinth beans. Mine seeds are up and have several sets of leaves now. I'm still wondering about their being poison :-).
