KathyJo, I'll certainly keep your friend in my prayers. What a sad situation. I understand mental/emotional problems very well. One just isn't in control of thoughts and behavior and often look at ourself and wonder just who this person is who is doing and saying these things. May GOD in his mercy and compassion take her in HIS loving care and heal and guide her and her family. GOD bless you for your efforts to help her.
Jack's surgery was a resounding success. His left eye vision before was 20/200. Yesterday morning, 24 hours after surgery it was 20/60 and really close to 20/50. He'll be fitted for glasses in a month that will perhaps correct it to 20/40 or better. He is so happy. He can't do any lifting of anything heavier than his boots for at least 2 weeks. Has 3 different drops to put in 4 times a day for this week anyway, then will taper off. He still can't drive of course, but that will come in time.
We have kept the road hot between here and Columbia the past three days. Then yesterday on the end of the Columbia trip we started the trips to Sedalia. We had to get to the bank and feed store before they closed. Then Shad had Youth in the evening. Tuesday evening he had BSA. Today I simply MUST get to my doctor in Marshall(18 miles north) and get some prescriptions renewed and my BP checked. Then to Sedalia(13 miles south) to get the prescriptions filled and some grocery shopping done. I think maybe sometime next week this madness may at least slow down to a somewhat normal(whatever NORMAL may be)pace.
If we can manage to make the connections, Shad is going to help mow the church's lawn today. Mostly we need to know if the church has more than one riding mower. There are about 7 acres to mow so it will take a long time to a mow it all. Our pastor and wife are on vacation this week and the one man who always helps will have a big job on his hands if doesn't get help.
Just called my doctor's clinic to make an appointment. She is in the satallite clinic until afternoon and not in at all tomorrow. They said to call this afternoon after 2 and see if I can get in then. I sure hope so. I'm out of several meds which must have her hand written renewal. There simply hasn't been time to take care of myself this week. This is the slowest morning I've had in more than a week.
Just talked to someone from the church. The shed is open so I'll take Shad in pretty quickly so he can work in the cool of the evening.
GOD bless and keep each and all of you.
