I have a question.

Burlington, ON(Zone 6a)

When you make the 2" holes in your 5 gallon pots so you can plant them, pot and all, but plan to bring them indoors to the house/GH for winter, what do you do about the holes in the pots"
Wont the roots dry out indoors?

Medford, NJ(Zone 6b)

I actually wrap a plastic garbage bag around my pots when I bring them in. I also used garbage bags as 'pots' for a few I dug out of the ground. They made it over the winter just fine.

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

You can trim the roots off on the outside of the pot and then put in a garbage bag.

Burlington, ON(Zone 6a)

I figured the garbage bag was the way to go but wasn't sure. Thanks. :)

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

I would think if you trim the roots flush you can put the holed pot into another pot with a saucer underneath.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

monika uses plastic bags too.
