Another beauty you've got there, is it fragrant?

Kansas City, MO(Zone 5b)

It has a citrus-like scent - I love it. Therese Bugnet is the hardiest rose I have. It is now about 6x6 and it is covered with blooms in the spring. It is a very beautiful rose.

You don't have to convince me, the photo had me hooked the first time I saw it.
I meant to ask if it blooms all summer and would it be hardy in my zone 5a?

Kansas City, MO(Zone 5b)

It is covered in blooms in the Spring and Fall and then it blooms similar to a hybrid tea during the summer. It is a hybrid rugosa and is hardy to zone 3. I am in 5b and I have never had to give it any protection and it comes back bigger and stronger each year. If you like white roses there is Sir Thomas Lipton - it is a hybrid rugosa hardy to zone 4 and it has a strong fragrence as well. But Hansa is the rose you can smell all over the yard - a clove-like scent. It is a hybrid rugosa, a fuschia color, hardy to zone 3 but you get a huge bloom in the spring, sporadic in the summer then another small flush in the fall - the cooler the weather, the better the show she gives. She gets very large as well, 7x7 being her maxium size under the best conditions. It is a lovely rose to have in the garden - the scent is heavenly in the late afternoon/evening.

I can't have a lot of large roses because of size of my garden 250 sq ft. I do appreciate the information and look forward to seeing more of your lovely roses. I don't care if you don't know the name I would still like to see them.

I received a Therese Bugnet as a present and it was blooming beautifully but has now stopped completely. Did I do something wrong or is there anything I can do to make it bloom? The leaves all look great, just no blooms

Murfreesboro, TN(Zone 7a)

This is my all-time favorite rose! I had it in a bed with three other roses, and it consistently had the best-looking foliage, prettiest blooms, and most resistance to blackspot of them all. It didn't bloom all summer (none of them did), but it sure was a pretty sight to behold when it was in bloom!

If I ever figure out a good place for some roses on this property, it'll be the first (and maybe only) rose I plant.

Suz it will bloom again just read what FallingFeather had to say just above my last entry.

Terry I would love to see some of your pictures as well, I am a die hard rose lover.
