Time to repot? LOL

The ones on top are from Bruno's floosie Dr. Suess and the ones below are a mix from Farmgirl. I am thinking they may need to get their own homes soon. :)

If they need to "move out" they can live with me rent free or I'll even build them their own homes LOL

Hey! Think you've got the hang of how to grow brugs from seed. Lookin' mighty fine!

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Yes, time for bigger houses definitely! LOL. So they will be all surprises. I love surprises.

St. Louis, MO(Zone 6b)

Yup, the kids are big enough for their own beds. No longer babies :-)

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

It is very fun for me to see the differences in size and the sprout and growth rate. The top ones were started a good amount of time before the bottom ones, and at the same time as my malanga-which is working on it's second leaf! I will have a ton of seedlings to play with, even though I don't expect to see blooms until next year! On the top ones, does anyone else think the leaves look like whisker's leaves?

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

I see the leaf you mean, the pointy edges. Other brugs carry that trait. Whiskers leaves to me are almost too big for the size of the flower, though I do love the flower. You have months of wondering and guessing, that is what makes it all so much fun......LOL! I have one blooming right now that I had grown since last year. It is just opening its first flower. I can't wait..........but from first glance it looks like a Frosty to me.........LOL!

But Kell, is it not true that you can turn ANY Brug into a pink, even Frosty?? ROTFLOL Believe it or not, that is the one Brug I killed! It lived all winter, did well then kaplunk! The cold and rain here have been horrible. I am counting on having only one Brug to bloom this year, maybe three. The latter two haven't even Y'd but are getting nice sized. JP bit it on me too and she would have been BIG this year. Booo hooooo.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

I turn everything into a frosty sadly! You need more brugs to bloom this summer! I sould send you some cuttings from the flowering regions for a quick fix. I am supposed to send out about 10 boxes today, I have been procrastinating forever. The brugs get too big to send at the speed I go. I am pathetic.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Michele, the one you got from me was started from seed around March 1 last year, so you may have lots of blooms if you really fertilize a lot. Right now I'm fertilizing almost every time I water.

But Kell honey, there is a good thing about a well meaning person! LOL I am one of them. It is a sad, sad thing to have a heart bigger than your brain. Giggle We do so truly mean to share and to give....we just don't remember five minutes after we promise. LOL I'd be so willing to take on anything, even a frosty, if it promised me flowers THIS year. :) I have my very special FIRST brug from Brugie and I know it will bloom. I also have high hopes for whiskers. If they don't bloom, I won't cast them off. I just want flowers!!!!

Hey Shirley, when I potted the one I got from you, I mixed in blood meal and bone meal and watered with seafood emulsion. That Brug really went to town! It is around seven feet tall! Is everyone still using MG to feed? I know I heard mention of Peters as well. All my Brugs have been outside since April when we had that warm spell but it has been so cool and rainy since! A lot of my rooted cuttings just up and died all of the sudden but my seedlings are doing very well. I also have another tray of seedlings from various people. I am gonna have to get a greenhouse! LOL My next house will have some sort of solarium, even if I have to go to Arby's and steal the rounded one off the side of the restaurant! giggle

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

I'm using Peter's because they put minors in it finally.

Co.Wicklow, Ireland(Zone 8b)

Cool Badseed...think that's the first time I've actually seen anything of mine growing overseas! It's a good feeling!

LOL@Kell...They definitly won't be frosties!

They're probably Dr.Seus X CG or X I. Rosea. If you get lots of orange flowered seedlings you can be sure they're Dr.S X CG.....won't know for sure untill they start to flower though!

Best of luck! :o)))

city?? lol sticks, AR(Zone 7a)

you mean Im not the only one who covents Arby's solarium? well its nice to know Im not the only one contemplating grand theft greenhouse.

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

LOL I wasn't sure if anyone else would know what Arby's is!! Yep, one of these days I'll get sent up the river for stealing the side of a restaurant! :)
