Baker City, OR(Zone 5b)

Good morning farmers, and the wannabe farmers, and the just curious. Summer is finally here even though it was 37 yesterday morning, we have had no frost for over 2 weeks. I've been yanking huge weeds in my vegie garden trying to find the soil to plant things in, making progress, lots more to do. I'm late this year. A few weeks of showery weather really make things grow, unfortunately not the things I wanted to grow.
Today I'm going to have lunch with a friend and borrow a saddle from her. My saddle needs some repair and is making Breezy's back sore so I have to find something else to use in the meantime. We use each other's stuff and even each other's horses sometimes.
Yesterday I met somebody at the farm store who was buying plants, we struck up a conversation and find that we only live a few miles apart. I offered her some of my raspberry starts, she might come and get them this evening. I also told her about Davesgarden so maybe she will join.
Everybody is really busy at this time of year. Have a great day, count your blessings.
