I had to cut her back pretty hard when I brought her in last fall. Some of the branches just shrivelled up and died.I'm so proud of her recovery....she's FULL of buds, along with the open flowers.

Melody . . it looks great. Mine are just starting to really leaf out. I can hardly wait . . except our weather is not really cooperating very well.

Well,I sat around in a sweatshirt and long pants today...'bout froze to death. The GH never got above 70.

My front entrance flowers are looking great though...they are usually starving for water and baking to a crisp by now.

Lost 31 tomato plants to too much rain, and haven't got the first veggie seed in the ground.I usually plant by the end of April here....c'est la vie..

The up side is that it's cool enough that I can sit in my porch swing and enjoy my flowers. They are gorgeous right now.

Went to my nephews graduation party saturday afternoon and it got down to 39 and windy. Had to come home turn on the furnace and crawl under the blankie. No garden planted here yet either.

Thanks for posting her, I've got one too, and can't wait for bloom. Those flowers really do tilt out don't they!
How's her scent?

Melody, what a pretty brug and nice shot. Looks like you keep yours in pots all year. I have been doing that too but this year I think I will try planting a couple out in the garden and see what happens. Temps. here near 80 daytime and mid 40s nighttime. Donna

Very pretty Brug Melody.

I bet your guests are so impressed when they see that with such huge blooms. So pretty! Are you going to keep it in its pot all summer?
I am already having trouble keeping mine watered, so I went out and bought huge plastic saucers for them (and i mean huge they go out an extra 6 inches on all sides and go up 5 inches ..... cost almost $9 each at HD....ridiculous) to keep full of water then today I remembered that disease the mosquitos will be carrying this summer and realized that was not a good idea!

San Diego, CA(Zone 10b)

Kell, you might try misters near the tray-it will stop mosquitos from laying eggs(run all night?) or a few drops of vegetable oil on top of the water-messy but it keeps the flying bloodsuckers at bay. Doug

Oh thanks DrDug! So the oil won't hurt the plant as it sucks it up?

My DH would kill me if I had misters going all the time, LOL........... he wants to kill me now for I turn on the water and then forget all about it..........LOL. He shows me the water bill each month, gesticulating madly.

San Diego, CA(Zone 10b)

The oil shouldn't hurt the plant-use olive oil if your worried at all. As for the misters, if you use the superfine misters-they burn a whole quart an hour or less depending on the brand. Mosquitos hate water vapor. Doug
