Wow, beautiful, are Siberian irises difficult? Any special tricks to these guys? Do they want full sun like regular bearded irises?

Lenjo, I think sibs are MUCH easier that tall bearded irises! They like sun but will do okay in part sun. I get a lot of rotting with TBs over the winter. Sibs do much better for me.

Good to know, I guess I am going to have to try these beauties, I love the dutch iris; it is great cutflower too, how about the sibs?

Thanks for the feedback! (I am just figuring out how this forum works, so bear with me). I did not grow this iris but took the picture at the Royal Botanical Gardens in Burlington Ontario (Laking Garden) in the 80s. This sib grew VERY short. The flower form and substance was wonderful. I will grow it some day! ;)
