Today I moved faster than the Wind!!!!!

A local store had their summer-flowering bulbs on sale for 75% off! I beat the Wind to the pick of the pack: a voodoo lily!

I also got some great lilies, bletilla, cyclamen and other treats. They were $0.75 EACH!!!!!! Sorry, I got the last of the bletilla and the last of the voodoo lily (nyaahhh! Wind ;~D

Lupinelover, this here is Little Hawk and the Wind has sent me to tell you if you do not give up the VooDoo Lily she is liable to do harm to me now you don't want her to do that now do you????She can get very upset as you must know.
So please help me!! Oh by the way thank you for the picture of the WIND she wouldn't send me one.

My neighbor keeps tryig to get rid of hers but it keeps coming up every year. I could not believe how big they were.

No kelly it wasn't that one or I would have scrached her eyes out to get it lol.
It is so beautiful, she wouldn't even let me hold it....as if I would steal it (and I would have)lol.
That girl snached it right out from under my nose! Now ya'll know that is wrong, I was busy looking for more of the hardy orchids for her and then she turns around and snaches the only voodoo lily they had.

Lupy you should listen to Littlehawk and take his advice and fork over the bulb.

Oh and to top it off she took cutting from all of my plants and then started smelling all the roses now there is no fragance left in them *snicker,sincker*
Now I ask you is that anyway to treat a poor old lady? tears in my eyes.....sob :(

But in all we had a wonderful day shopping for plants, I think we must have hit just about all the stores on the west side of Columubus.
Oh we did miss one and that's the one that was selling the orchids for $10, I am going to go check it out today and see if they have any left.

Lupy we have to do it again, I had so much fun and lordy where in the world did the time go? I was outside replanting my veggie garden until dark last night. I did beat the rain.

Good you are still talking.......LOL. I used to go antiquing with a very good friend, but we had the same taste and antiques usually do not come in 2s........LOL. It got to where we would run into the store, run around madly trying to see something first and if the other did, we would plot how to get it away from each other. It got viscous! What would really get me was when I was negotiating a better price on some just found treasure and she would walk up and say she would pay any amount to get it............ so I would be stuck paying full price. Finally for our friendship to survive we agreed not to go shopping anymore for antiques together, just plants...........LOL!

Lol it's not that bad with us....yet! No I enjoy pulling Lupy's leg every once in a while and figured since she has had so much sadness lately I thought she was up to a good fight over a bulb lol. Boy she really got a kick out of it to I had her laughing so hard, it was good to see her laughing again.....life is good. I am good at picking on peolpe and having them in stitches laughing so we had a great time.

Kell, no fear; Wind and I are good friends :) We just need to tease each other sometimes. Bulbs and other plants seem a safe choice for us, since she has full sun and I have full shade! We don't often find a plant that we can both grow, so when we do, we pretend to have this vicious war over it! Just joking and teasing each other.

Besides, we are both so soft-hearted that whatever I have she knows she can have for the asking, and vice-versa.

All except for the fragrance of my roses! LOL

Alrighty Missy, that did it! I use to have fragrant rose in my yard until they other day that is.....until Sinffing Lupy came along *chuckle, chuckle. Lupy I am telling mom and dad on you!

Hey guys you'll never believe what happen, Lupy brought a few plants over that she had rooted and promised to give me before the lily fight.
Well the little sneak planted it in with the other plants and gave it to me, I just found out about it today.
I was at her house yesterday and ask her where she planted it, she wouldn't show me so I thought it was because she was afraid I would dig it up and sneak off with it.
I know that we are best friends/sisters but this was one surprise I wasn't expecting. I can't even begin to tell you how much it touched my heart, I told her if I was there I would give her a big hug and kiss.
I can't begin to thank her enough for her kindness, it's so nice to have a friend like that.

I threatened Littlehawk and Zanymuse (yep, she knew too! I told you we ganged up on you) with double trouble if he told!!!! (Picture both of us descending on him and stealing everything he has growing ;D)

I talked to Littlehawk tonight and he got the biggest kick out of it, I have never heard him laugh so hard. He told me that you got a kick out of it as well and that he couldn't bust your bubble.
WHAT! You mean even Zany knew as well! Oh this is more than I can stand, Zany I owe you one big time, you little sneak.

Yes I can believe it now. Lordy I guess all of DG knew except me, you guys are some sneaky little rascals.
What makes it so bad is I saw the bulb in the first part of spring but couldn't afford it at the time, so I call my self hidding it until it went on sale or when I had enough money to buy it.
We also went up to Oakland Park nursery this past Sunday and she was helping to look for the bulb, I tell you she is sneaky.
This surprise made my whole day and believe me this was one of those days that nothing I did turned out right, gardners are just the best.

I will have a surprise for her as well but not right away because she will be expecting it.

LOL, I wonder what she would have done if you had found it at Oakland Park!

I think she would have told me about it but I would have bought it anyway for her that's how we are.

Kell we are best friends/sisters since lupy's mom and dad adopted me, there is a lot of love there.
We share just like sisters and she knows that she can have anything I've got and I know she will share anything she's got with me. Well I better stop because I don't want to swell her head lol.

Oh that's ok my dear deceitful friend Littlehawk, the day of reckoning is coming for you my dear lol. It was shocking to know that everyone knew but me, boy that Lupy got me good this time.
I got her back at the plant store Sat when I was buying my succulents, I ask her if she like this one or that one for my new cactus garden but little did she know that she was picking out her own plant....gotcha Lupy!!!
