New member from Long Island

I love perinneals- i have lots of sun and love to try new flowers from seed- esp. wildflowers.My love for growing flowers began 3 years ago when I haphazardly plants some marigolds; I noticed in the fall how large and beautiful the seeds were- i knew they were annuals but i decided to experiment- I took hundreds from the dead flowers in Oct., Nov., placed them on an old screen in my basement, waited (impatiently) til spring; planted them all and it was unbelievable how many marigolds bloomed- it was perhaps one of the most exciting things i have ever done!!! it got interested in flowers- started doing this with cosmos and zinnias.............

Welcome, tangela, and what a pretty name that is! We have quite a few members from the state of New York, and it's wonderful that you are now among them. Enjoy this beautiful garden.

Welcome! What fun it is to plant things and watch what happens. You will find folks friendly and helpfull here, but I must warn you, this place is addictive.
