kell - still haven't seen the bulbs (they're underground ;) The flowers are held on remarkarkable long stems: about 45 cm. There are two nurseries here in Japan offering this cultivar, as well as another popular Leucocoryne called "Andes" A quick google search showed several Dutch nurseries that sell them - but your location isn't listed, so I don't know if that helps.

kell - you are set up perfectly.

California and Chile share the same mediterranean winter rainfall pattern, so if you are not too far north, you could conceivable grow this in a well drained (or raised) spot in the garden.
