pink hollyhock

I have double pink and single pink hollyhock seed.

I am getting so I like the single hollyhocks better than the doubles. I transplanted a seedling that came off I thought was a single yellow one and it turned out a peachy pink one. I had had a double red one around the corner from the yellow, so I guessed from that that they must cross. Have you found the seed to come back fairly reliably from what its parent was? I planted a Creme de Cassis hollyhock, purple from Burpee, no blooms yet. They really do germinate much easier than I figured.

I have never planted any saved seed. These came up from last years planting. This is the same blooms that were on them then
