What a nice looking plant :) Does it look different than Tradescantia? As the flower is very similar (just not blue), and it's in a different genus.

Evert, I saw this in Georgia last month. The plant and flower were similar but smaller than Tradescantia ohioensis. This WAS once classified as Tradescantia rosea then Cuthbertia ornata and now it actually should be Callisia ornata. I only took a quick picture as I walked by so I don't have any info other than what I learned when I researched the plant. It was a pretty little thing and the only one I saw.
