Koh Samui, Thailand

I live in Koh Samui Thailand and want to use this tree as a barrier between our house and the neighbours, which is quite close. I only have 1-2 metres between my wall and my pool. Can I safely grow this near my pool? I have heard it only has a tap root and not many surface roots. I don't want it to crack my pool. Also, how far in the ground would I have to plant a 3m tree of this type?

Fort Lauderdale, FL(Zone 10a)

I have seen this tree in Deerfield Beach, Florida and I am interested in this tree to break up a large space on our property. Where in the southern half of Florida is it avaliable?
