I still need water plants :)

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

I had a very lovely trade with Branka and got nice pretties from Toadlily as well. Thanks a bunch girls!! :) I had seven fish and got four koi for mother's day. Now I have babies too! They must be munching on some of the stuff. LOL I'd love to find some more floaters and oxygenators in trade for some of my land plants. My lilies are really starting to take off but I still have way too much naked water. E me or post if you have something to spare.

Summerville, SC(Zone 8b)

Hi! Have been so busy clearing 40 ft for a driveway on our new property and appointments for Chelsey (grand-daughter) that I have not been able to be on line.

I have Coon Tail, which is a wonderful ...I will go place some of our plants on my Trade Page either now or first thing tomorrow. I have Parrot Feather, Water Poppy, lots of Yellow Hardy Water lilies (mine or just starting to bloom too...this weather is terrible), Hardy White Water Lilies and a few named varieties that I am currently growing..some are ready to have a new home.
We have floating 4 Leaf Clover and Pennywort also.

I would love to trade for your Daisy, Hardy Hibiscus and Holly...

Will get to work within the next few hours.

We are shutting down our main large pond...13 by 8 by 4 because
we are moving to our new property...so this is why we have
so much extra...(the coon tail)

Stephanie
We have many more water plants...will get busy and list soon.

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

No tiG, hanging my head in shame. I was actually at work the other night and a 20 or so pound box of jobe's spikes came down the line and I was guilted right that second! LOL I promise I will soon, mother! LOL Right now I am trying to find a bigger pump. I don't think I am moving enough water. The best deal I have found so far is $150 for a 3900gph Beckett. Anyone find anything better???
HI Stephanie!! Those plants sound great!! Don't have them, LOL. Oh, I do have the Iris pseudocorus! I need to check my list AND update it. Not sure what I even have on there. I did also post a few things on plant trading.
OH, I need to get a more accurate gauge of how much water I have. I think it is about 3000 gallons. It is kind of hard to figure. I will have to do it in two steps. I have two plant ledges and two different depth deep ends. It is 11x14, then has a ledge almost all the way around, one foot deep, then another ledge a foot deeper, then a deep end at one end that is about 18" deeper and the other end is about a foot deeper than that. All in all, the deepest is probably 4 feet deep. Now that is a clear picture, huh?

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

hehehe! yes, that's a clearer picture. If you put anything in that deepest end, I'd put it on something for a bit of height. We have a concrete block that's been in ours for over 5 years. I don't know if it ever leached, but it surely doesn't now:) We keep it in the middle where there's no shelf.

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

LOL tiG. I knew YOU would get it. LOL Originally the pond was octagon shaped with an eight shape in the center. One end of the eight was deeper than the other. When I redid the pond, I did not want to waste any liner and it was 20x25. So we dropped it in and expanded all the way around except one end. That end now has the bathtub veggie filter. I am still pricing pumps. Anyway, the deepest end is where I have the water lilies and where I was asking you if they were too deep. The leaves popped right up and look great except where the fish nibbled. LOL

great!!! need new pictures ;)

I've got a couple of marginals I'll put in your box. I didn't get to the PO soon enough and didn't want them to sit over the long weekend. They should be on the way Tuesday ;)

Sorry no floaters, I need to get some for myself too.

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

That is okay Jody! I am so thrilled to get the pelargoniums!!! Are you sure you can't think of anything I can send you???

Summerville, SC(Zone 8b)

Hi again....I will be glad to send some of the extra I have on Tuesday. Our main pond was also 4 ft deep and we had the largest leaves and water lily blooms ever. The pond is still there, but is not getting a lot of attention since we are moving everything out of it on to our property in Rosinville.

I have been selling on eBay and using PayPal for 8 years...and we had a hacker get into our PayPal account and
send $1500.00 to himself. Boy...my mind has not been right..but within 12 hours PayPal is reversing this amount and really helping a lot. I think I had what is called a panic attack last night about 1:30 am when I was checking my auction payments from eBay.

For everyone that got the fantastic worms...I put mine in the compost pile...we actually have two very large ones and the worms make the best compost out of my regular old stuff...veggie and fruit extras and peelings, lots of weeds and fresh grass cuttings...I have the very best compost ever...and I have been composting for many years.

Once we get moved, hope to order more from you. Those little red worms were fantastic.

My water lilies prefer no pumps and a very natural pond which means that I have lots of coon tail, parrot feather...
etc. We have started to use some of the solar fountains around our ponds. They seem to attrack lots of hummingbirds.

Of course, our koi love lots of pumps and water movement.
Will be checking back soon!

Stephanie, that sounds really, really great! I don't care what you send, I can use it. LOL I'd be happy with a handful of whatever you can grab. I'd say only about 5% of my pond is covered and I know that is WAY too low. I'll be thrilled with whatever. :) Are you sure you have time to do this? It sounds like you are getting your butt whooped about now. ((Stephanie)) I am so sorry about the paypal thing. That is so scary!! I am glad they are helping you straighten it out. I think they owe you that if the site is not secure. I know all about panic attacks too. That lovely feeling like when you are almost in a wreck, you can't breathe, tunnel vision. What fun. Hope it was just a one time thing for you.
If you are happy, I'd love to take credit for it, but the worm co-op was not mine. I think it was GV/Terry. I did the lotus one.

Summerville, SC(Zone 8b)

Hi..sorry about the confusion...the worms were great..the lotus are wonderful. I check mine every single day. They are amazing plants. This is my very first year and so far we have only lost 2...but then I put the tubors back in their ponds...and we will see. We have a new rescue Basset Hound and she thinks her job is to uproot and/or take out my plant starts.

I am not shipping this week...since it is a Holiday week...so we will be shipping you whatever you need next Monday.

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

I threw some pond /bog plants in the plumed poppy box.....

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

Karyn, that was really nice!! Thank you! I am finally starting on digging up grasses. I know I have not answered your email but I will soon! I worked really long hours Saturday and Monday then mailed out 7 boxes Tuesday. Whew! LOL I remember the good old days when I used to be a stay home mom, but I could barely afford to mail boxes. Hmmm, which was worse?
