Ok, folks, I went back to the garden center and bought 12 of those puppies. :>) Even if you have posted on the other thread I started, please post again here so I know how many and please send me your snail mail addy privately. I'll let you all know how much the postage is after I send them. And, I made a mistake, the price was $4.99. Something else I bought must have been the $4.50. Spouse didn't even gripe about going back, I think it was the part I told him that most of you mentioned a little extra for the gas. Hope ya'll are happy with the plants. I won't be able to send them out till Tuesday. Glad I could help others for once.

Okay, this makes me ask a dumb question: Once a brug has a patent on it, will that always remain? I mean, will we never be able to share our Snowbank with anyone?
I think a patent only lasts a certain amount of years, like 5 maybe, then they start getting easier to come by, also cheaper!

Ok I have no clue what I am talking about but I thought when something had a patent it just meant you couldn't sell it but can do what every you want for personal use.
Mystic I think you are right - we can share, just not sell it for awhile. Need to look up the patent laws I guess. The patents only are good for 2 years on some inventions.
Cala posted on another thread that it includes taking cuttings. Hard to enforce I'm sure, there are already people on GW talking about sharing.
They begin with the issue of the patent and can continue up to 20 years, some are only 17 years.
