Yellow brug blooms

Miami, FL(Zone 10b)

I am so happy, one of my brugs finally bloomed in a color other than white. Although these look just yellow, they do have a tinge of peach color in them. The plant and blooms themselves are smaller than my other brugs, seems to be a pretty compact plant. Any ideas of what it can be? I know my explanation isn't much help, but since I do not have any named brugs it is difficult to know.
Regards,
Olga

I have no idea, but am so glad that all of you brugies in the south have plants outside and blooming. I get to see pictures, but would you work on sending the smell with them when you post? :-)

The rooted plant was sent to me from a garden friend in California along with 3 other ones, which did not survive, probably due to the stress of moving from Orlando to Miami, and this plant did look sad for many months before I decided to plant it on the ground. Now it seems to have a good location, and I hope it keeps on doing well so that cuttings can be taken and shared :) They do indeed smell really good, but not as strong as other brugs. I too have a limited time to enjoy them since our torrid summers will limit the amount of times it blooms, by next month the plants will just sit there waiting for some cooler air and rain to do the magic.

Looks great Olga! So glad you got some color this time around. I love yellow.

There are so many unnamed yellows. I wonder if growers just plant seeds and sell them as yellow, pink or white and all can be different.

This one is sure pretty. I love yellow. Esp. in spring, so cheerful!

Columbia, SC(Zone 8a)

Very pretty. I'm still waiting for my first bloom.

OlgaN ,
Do you have any Versicolor's? they realy hold up well in our rainy season.. also Saveolens do well for me in the summer.. I agree alot of the multi-hybrids do slow down a bit here , But the others fill a void till our mild winters arrive. : )

It's beautiful Olga! I can't wait to get yellow blooms. My Ecuador Pink is the only Brug that I get flowers from but after all of the rain we've had over the weekend, maybe my smaller Brugs will be inspired to grow and "Y" and bloom also. :-)

John,
I believe that most of my brugs are Suaveolens, but couldn't tell you for sure if any of the others are a Versicolor, since I do not have much experience with brugs, nor do I own any named ones (!). Most of my plants came from trades or seedlings, I just keep them based on how well they bloom, the scent, and whether or not they are happy in our climate, but I surely will try to check them out.

Delecie,
I believe the rain will indeed get those small ones to grow faster, it has been working wonders for me... now, let's hope we don't end up with flooding, especially after last night storms :)
