Oxytropis Lambertii care

Cortlandt Manor, NY(Zone 6a)

I have 2 nice size seedlings of this plant, I am ready to put it out, not sure what it's needs are as far as sun / shade. Can anyone help me out?
Thanks!

According to my plant book oxytropis (point vetch, locoweed, crazy weed) occurs in cold rather dry climates in well drained gravels and sandy soils. Very good drainage is essential for success of these plants-grow on sloping ground or in raised beds of gritty soil. Full sun and cold winter are both necessary. Where winters are damp, plants should be grown under glass as many species do not enjoy cold, wet conditions. Propagate from seed sown in spring and transplant to individual pots as soon as they are big enough to handle.
Hope this helps-I have no experience with this plant myself!

Thanks Kathy!

I think the perfect place for them is in my rock garden. I am so glad you took the time to reply to this thread. :)

By the way -- thanks for the advice -- they are both in bloom now!

I have been trying to get a picture of these -- one seedling has white flowers -- the other has lavender. The problem is whenever I try to get a close-up it blurs -- the camera gets confused on what to focus on. It is a new camera and I have to figure out how to focus it manually.
