Since you people on this forum were all so supportive of me and my greenhouse/plant boarding venture, I am happy to say that most of the plants have gone to their "summer homes" as of today. I have probably a half a dozen up there yet, so basically they are all gone. Everyone has indicated that they will bring them back in the fall, and some of them have said they have friends that may bring some too. (I have found that talk is cheap in May, we'll see what happens in October when it gets cold!!!) 2 of the clients gave me a $10.00 tip. :>) Everyone has said that they were very happy with how their plants looked. I told them all up front that I had a horrid aphid problem in the last month, but set off a nicotine bomb in there last Thursday night. Pretty well took care of anything with legs and wings. Took care of my Nikko Blue hydrangea bud clusters too, but that was a small price to pay! I told them to spray their plants off with water for a few days to wash off the dead bugs and they would be ok. Been doing it with mine and they seem fine.
Also made a rare find (for this area anyway........). A Snowbank brug in a garden center. They had about 6 of them, in 4 inch pots. nice sized plants, probably close to 6 inches tall with about 8 leaves. Only the miserly sum of $4.50, so, golly gosh, couldn't walk out of there without one, now, could I? Also found my chestnut vine, so I am a happy woman for today! I'd like to thank all of you who were so supportive of my grand greenhouse venture, it means alot to know that I could ask for help if I needed it. And, I didn't lose anything! :>)
Plants have gone home...........
Anna, glad everything went okay with the business. I hope they all come back.
If it was the true Snowbank (did it have a patent tag on it??) I would get them all. You can sell them on ebay if that's what it really is.
Anna_Z,
wanted to know if you would buy me hte snowbanks and i will pay you for the plant and send postqge to or we could trade plmk moretz
I would love Snowbanks too. If there are any left I would gladly pay for plant and postage.
Wow Anna!!! That's very cheap for a Snowbank.I'd go back and get all the rest.
I'd almost bet that they aren't Snowbank. When Snowbank is being sold for anywhere from $18 to $30 elsewhere and since it is the only patented brug, just makes me wonder.
