Bodrum, Turkey(Zone 10a)

that is to die for Ludger!!!

I love the color on that one!!

Belfield, ND(Zone 4a)

Oh, hot pink! My favorite color! It's beautiful.

Newark, OH(Zone 5a)

you have got the prettiest Brugs by far. I'm so green with envy (do you by any chance have any seeds for any of these?)

Brugvalley, Germany(Zone 7b)

Pebble, you are my favorite to test the heat tolerance...next year..:-)

flow, Í am pollinating like a crazy bee..........

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

WOW! Maybe I am colorblind, but it sure looks like "Hot Pink" to me. Remember me in your "will", for seeds also.
Pretty!

Newark, OH(Zone 5a)

oooohhhhh, don't forget me when you get seeds :)
so where are you? Is it Germany? I'm originally from Heidelberg area, was born in Leimen.

Brugvalley, Germany(Zone 7b)

Gloria, I will remember if the pods will be ripe..the weather here changed to very bad....stormy and very very much cold rain, I hope I will get a good brugyear...

flow, I love Heidelberg, I spent some weeks at the Bonhoefer Stiftung. Do you know Eberbach? Some miles away from Heidelberg in the Neckar ( a river ) valley.

Born in Leimen..do you know Boris Becker?? lol.

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

That is beautiful Ludger. Wish I had better luck last year growing them. I had four Sangs and never saw a one flower.

Brugvalley, Germany(Zone 7b)

Snow, I donīt know why they bloom here, they just do it..
@ Gloria and flow:
Which one will pick up the seeds here? I can not post to you..
Sorry, I did not make that laws.

Newark, OH(Zone 5a)

I'm afraid I have not been to Germany since 91 and don't see going anytime soon so can't come pick up seeds :(
They banned sending seeds? I didn't know that

I know where Eberbach is :)
you'll have to e-mail me in German sometime. I don't get to speak it very often anymore and especially not write it often unless I send mail to my Grandma in Germany

Brugvalley, Germany(Zone 7b)

Smile, Du mußt Deiner Großmutter öfter einen Brief schreiben, Großmütter mögen das.!!!
Smile, you have to write a letter to your Grandma, more often, Grannys do like it.!!!

Newark, OH(Zone 5a)

ja, ich weis schon, aber sie hat auch eine schwere zeit die briefe zu lesen. Sie ist schon 89 und die augen sind nicht mehr so gut. Ich schicke ihr aber oefters bilder.

yes, I know, but she's having a hard time reading them too. She is 89 now and her eyes are not that good anymore. I send her pictures more often though :)

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

I hope, someday they relax those laws! I cannot read German, but grandma talked G on the party line(telephone) so no one could tell what she was saying.

My maiden name was Roush(Rausch)

North Vancouver, BC(Zone 8b)

Really Hibiscus? Jeanne just gave me a Goldrausch. LOL

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

How about, maybe we are related???

North Vancouver, BC(Zone 8b)

LOL, the other branch of the Rausch tree, the Ohiorausch.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

My grandmother was German also.....LOL! She was born in Leipzig then when grown went to Berlin and moved to NY. Her family had their business at Numa Einz Thearter platz. My Mom speaks German............ she tells great stories about her grandmother, Anna Doring.

PS..love your orange sang even if it is pink......LOL

Herbstein, Germany(Zone 5a)

We should start to teach you the german language LOL!
I think its very interesting to find out about the family ancestry. It sure brings folks together instead of dividing them.

Newark, OH(Zone 5a)

my grandparents came from czech to Germany during WWII. Both my parents are German but my mom married a military guy when I was 11 so then we came over here for the first time when I was 14..........talk about a culture shock........LOL
My mom lives in TN and I have an aunt who lives in GA (she's the richy type though and won't talk to us lesser folks, you know), but the rest of the family is still in Germany. Not a very close family though as no one seems to write me or call me. They all act like I don't exist and I don't have a clue as to why :(

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

Well, we like you and know you exist, especially since you are from Ohio. You already have a new friend!

Medford, NJ(Zone 6b)

Love the color on this one!

Bodrum, Turkey(Zone 10a)

Ludger, I'll be ready to test it when I move...I have dreams of all the brugs I am going to grow. It will be wonderfull....
time is passing, I sold my house, now I am packing stuff up, and getting rid of stuff. I think I will take my van, I am not sure yet. If I do, I will ship a 40' container, if not, I will just ship boxes. so much to do....this summer is going to be wasted as far as planting I think. I havent done any gardening toher than just cleaning up the gardens and making them presentable....

Newark, OH(Zone 5a)

thanks Hibiscus :)

Heaven ; ), Denmark(Zone 7b)

I agree Ludger, it should have been sang "Cyclamen" or something instead of "Orange" *lol* Mine had buds and I think the flowers looks the same as yours as both probably come from Gommers stock. Its a real beauty though and look like it has vulcanicola in its blood :)

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

You are welcome, garden friend from Ohio.

Brugvalley, Germany(Zone 7b)

Pebble, my thoughts are with you. I hate moving.......

Bodrum, Turkey(Zone 10a)

thanks Ludger, me too...I hope this is the last big move.

Ludger, the sang is gorgeous.

Brugvalley, Germany(Zone 7b)

Brugvalley, Germany(Zone 7b)

Co.Wicklow, Ireland(Zone 8b)

My Grandfather was German too; my Grandmother was French, and together they raised their family in Italy...but that's just my fathers side...My mothers side is just as confusing!
My Great-Grandmother was Jewish, my Great-Grandfather was English they raised my Grandmother in Ireland where she met my Irish grandfather! LOL too confuseing!

Tellico Plains, TN(Zone 7b)

HAH! My mother is from Munich, my father is from Ireland.........So here I am........ A temperamentally stubborn woman...LOL
Hugs,
§

Beverly Hills, CA(Zone 10a)

My mother was born in Berlin too! I have a friend visiting from Stutgart. I wonder what the penalty is for being a brug smuggler? What stupid laws that prevent us from sharing our brugs.

bronson, IA(Zone 4a)

Thanks for sharing great pic--its awesome--love pink--wish i had all your brugs--just love the pics thanks cheryl
